Why celebrate Teachers’ Day?
Teachers, also known as Gurus hold a position next to God as per the Indian mythology. A teacher is the one who makes us who we are. They contribute a major part of their lives in making us who we are. We grow as human beings in all perspectives with the help of a teacher. No matter what age you are at, there’ll always be a teacher for you who helps you get on the right track and be the best version of you. Our talents, habits, personalities, and even our individuality is nurtured by our teachers. We’ve all heard of a common phrase that the future of our nation is in the hands of the children of today. Thus, teachers are the role models and the mediators of education that they impart to the children thus defining the destiny of the nation.
As a matter of fact, we don’t appreciate and acknowledge the work of our teachers enough. Each day of our lives we should thank our teachers and tell them how grateful we are to them for making us who we are. On the 5th of September, we celebrate Teachers’ Day to make the day special for them. To thank them for everything they do for us and to celebrate them specifically. We find different ways and methods to bring a smile to the face of our teachers and to give them presents to make them feel special.
All these years schools and universities have been conducting functions and special programs for teachers on the 5th of September to celebrate the day by making them feel special. Various awards are given to the teachers and students prepare performances and various other activities for the teachers. A happy and beautiful day of celebration is enjoyed by the teachers and the students.
